About

Welcome to the blog. Inflation Busting was set up as a resource for strategies to cope with the relatively fast devaluation of your money (in real terms). Ironically, since this website began, we have seen a large swing in the economic climate. Just months ago, with record oil prices, inflation was threatening to spiral out of control of any fiscal tool. Now, with the run on oil over, deflation seems to be the enemy as the credit crunch takes hold.

However, the same advice can still be valid in these harsh financial climates, and perhaps it’s time you took some greater responsibility for your actions; as they will have a knock on effect in the days to come. What’s happened has happened, but we can prepare for the future starting today. The goal is to be prepared for the bad times, and even if those bad times do not arise, then you will be in a much better position.

Content on the site are mainly around:

- Strategy: Challenges for fun (and profit)
- Theory: Musings from economic literature
- News: Current affairs and what-not
- Advice: Best practices for financial efficiency.
- Reviews: Opinions on products on the market.
- Blog: What’s going on for me.

There are a few ways to navigate this blog. This is the start page (you’ll always see this at the start). To view the latest posts, you can either check the RSS feed, or see the widget. Alternatively, you can view the categories or the archives. I’ll be posting a list of interesting stuff here soon.
